Cloudflare is hiring for a CNI-focused role in Austin, TX. You will build and operate private network interconnects, collaborating with Product, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure to connect enterprise customers to Cloudflare’s global network.

The role emphasizes ownership, automation, and scalable systems engineering. You’ll work across Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Linux networking, and BGP routing within a Run What You Build culture, including on-call responsibilities to

Qualifications

Experience in systems-level programming with Rust, Go, C, or C++.
Deep understanding of IP networking: BGP, Layer 3 routing, and interconnect technologies.
Experience building and debugging distributed systems.
Experience participating in on-call rotation for services with direct customer impact.
Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools into your workflow.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsabilités

Build and extend the systems that provision, monitor, and orchestrate private network interconnects at scale.
Collaborate with Product Management, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure teams on ambitious initiatives.
Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment.
Work with technologies including Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Linux networking, and BGP routing.
Operate under a Run What You Build model with on-call duties.
Lead with curiosity and empathy in a fast-paced environment.
