Job summary

Cloudflare’s CNI team builds and operates the systems that let enterprise customers connect their networks directly to Cloudflare through private interconnects, supporting Magic Transit, Cloudflare WAN, Zero Trust and application security.

As a software engineer you will design, implement, and monitor interconnect provisioning, collaborate with Product Management, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure, and work with Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Linux networking, and BGP.

Qualifications

Systems-level programming with Rust/Go/C/C++.
IP networking fundamentals including BGP and Layer 3 routing.
Experience building and debugging distributed systems.
Participation in on-call rotations for customer-impact services.
Willingness to adopt AI tools in development workflows.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor private network interconnect provisioning at scale.
Collaborate with Product Management, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure teams.
Work across the software lifecycle: design, code, tests, deployment, and monitoring.
Engage with a range of technologies including Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Linux networking, and BGP.
