Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect for Aurora PostgreSQL to guide complex PostgreSQL deployments, migrations, and mature production architectures on Amazon Aurora and RDS for PostgreSQL.

The role emphasizes deep PostgreSQL expertise, collaboration with customers and the AWS service team, and thought leadership through published content and industry talks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software, cloud, or database domains.
• Experience architecting or operating PostgreSQL solutions at scale (multi‑TB DBs, many connections).
• Hands-on with AWS database services and migrations (DMS/SCT).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical advisor for Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS for PostgreSQL at key accounts.
• Design architectures leveraging storage auto-scaling, read replicas, and Global Database.
• Lead migrations from Oracle/SQL Server to Aurora PostgreSQL and validate performance.
• Publish technical content and present at AWS events to share best practices.
