Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Retail Associate in Aurora, IL to greet customers, assist with inventory, and guide buyers through cannabis products in a retail setting.

You will handle cash transactions, verify online orders, and maintain a clean, compliant store environment while adhering to state and local regulations. The role requires flexibility for weekends and holidays and a willingness to learn about cannabinoids and product applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software, i.e., Word, Excel, email, etc.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude.
• Assist in regular inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies.
• Provide cannabis product information and educate customers on usage (not medical advice).
• Handle cash transactions and POS operations.
• Verify online orders for accuracy before pickup.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and compliant store front.
• Support fellow Cannabis Advisors and store leadership.
