Job summary

Colorado Community College System (CCCS) seeks a King Center Stagehand for a work-study role at the Auraria Campus in Denver, supporting King Center activities. You will assist with lighting and sound setup, event execution, and venue operations for CCD, MSU Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver events.

Minimum qualifications include FAFSA on file, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CCD, and SAP compliance. Training is provided; evening and weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the King Center's performing arts programs, performances and events in our venues.

• Tear down and load out after events; assist with general building and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Contribute to teamwork, problem solving, and on-site event execution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The King Center serves the performing arts departments of Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver by providing support for their programs, performances, and events taking place in our venues.

Competencies/KSAs:

Working as a stagehand goes beyond learning how to operate lighting and sound equipment for performances. Our student stagehands learn teamwork, troubleshooting, event planning and execution, and many other practical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• FAFSA on file and all requirements complete
• Enrolled in at least 6 hours at the Community College of Denver
• Meeting SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

No experience necessary. Training will be provided as part of the job. Candidates for this job must have the ability to work evening and weekend shifts. Candidates should be self-motivated and service oriented. Ideal candidates possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
