Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown is seeking an Audit Supervisor in Houston, TX to lead engagement teams from planning to completion across audits, reviews, or compilations. The role emphasizes supervision, client relations, and timely, accurate financial reporting.

You will collaborate with senior staff and partners to resolve issues, manage budgets, and develop staff through coaching and training. Hybrid work model and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA certification with parts passed preferred.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience managing multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity of US GAAP.
• Excellent client service and communication skills with ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team from planning through completion on audits, reviews or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork and reporting.
• Provide supervision to staff, seniors and supervisors and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors and partners to resolve client issues and advise on regulatory and accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Contribute to professional development of the team as instructor or discussion leader.
