Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown in Houston, TX is seeking an Energy Audit Manager to lead complex audit engagements for upstream oil & gas clients from our hybrid Houston office.

You will manage engagements from planning to reporting, mentor staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and collaborate with partners. CPA certification and 5+ years of upstream oil & gas audit experience are required; SEC experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA certification required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of audit experience, upstream oil & gas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements from planning to reporting, including staffing and budgeting.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of audit engagements and issue resolution.
• Mentor and develop staff; collaborate with partners on client issues and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and auditing standards and regulatory pronouncements.
