Job summary

BiggsKofford seeks an experienced audit leader to manage and expand our Metropolitan District audit practice. This is a systems-and-execution leadership role for someone who enjoys creating structure, developing people and moving multiple engagements forward at the same time.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of district audit engagements through clear procedures, effective delegation, reliable tracking tools and timely decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Significant public accounting audit experience, typically at Manager or Senior Manager level.
• Experience leading or reviewing multiple financial statement audits and reviews.
• Ability to manage several engagements across planning, fieldwork, and completion.
• Proven ability to create and maintain practical tools for deadlines, staffing, budgets, and status.
• Strong systems thinking to provide visibility and consistency across the practice.
• Effective delegation and clear communication of next steps.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop audit professionals at all levels.
• Manage multiple audit engagements across planning, fieldwork, review, and completion.
• Maintain real-time view of deadlines, staffing, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate planning and execution across engagements.
• Develop, maintain and improve tools to manage the practice.
• Build scalable delivery model while maintaining client service.
