BiggsKofford is seeking an experienced audit leader to manage and expand our Metropolitan District audit practice. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building systems, coaching teams, and delivering quality across multiple engagements.

The successful candidate will implement clear procedures, track progress, delegate effectively, and maintain perspective across engagements. CPA license required; experience with government audits helpful.

Qualifikationen

• Significant public accounting audit experience at Manager/Senior Manager level.
• Led or reviewed multiple financial statement audit and/or review engagements.
• Manage multiple engagements across planning, fieldwork, review and completion.
• Create and maintain practical tools for tracking deadlines, staffing, budgets, status and open items.
• Use systems and procedures to create visibility and consistency across the practice.
• Organize competing priorities and communicate what must happen next.
• Delegate effectively and rely on capable team members without needing to review every detail.
• Establish review points that provide confidence without bottlenecks.
• Build teams that express professional opinions and take ownership of their work.
• Coach team members to make sound judgments and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Make timely, well-reasoned decisions and avoid stalling on projects.
• Identify process failures and implement improvements to prevent recurrences.
• Improve engagement workflows, planning, staffing, communication, review cycles and completion procedures.
• Set clear expectations and provide timely feedback.
