Job summary

Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP, the largest locally owned accounting firm in the Greater Austin area, is seeking an Audit Senior to join an autonomous, flexible team in Austin/Round Rock, TX. The role offers hybrid or fully remote options with no travel expectations and a starting compensation of $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Ideal candidates will have 5–6 years of auditing experience in public accounting, CPA certification, and strong communication and project management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude for project management.
• Experience with middle market, technology, government, wholesale/retail and/or real estate clients preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an audit senior associate, you will assist with engagements from start to finish. With no travel expectations, you will operate autonomously and work with unmatched flexibility. Our audit senior associates work in smaller, experienced engagement teams, allowing for continuous client exposure and access to engagement partners.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 – 6 years of auditing experience in public accounting (preferably regional or mid-sized firm experience)
• CPA Certification
• Highly motivated team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude for project management
• Experience with middle market, technology, government, wholesale/retail and/or real estate clients preferred
