Job summary

Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP, the largest locally owned accounting firm in the Greater Austin area, is seeking an Audit Senior to join an autonomous, flexible team in Austin/Round Rock, TX. The role offers hybrid or fully remote options with no travel expectations and a starting compensation of $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Ideal candidates will have 5–6 years of auditing experience in public accounting, CPA certification, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of auditing experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude for project management.
• Experience with middle market, technology, government, wholesale/retail and/or real estate clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engagements from start to finish.
• Operate autonomously with no travel expectations.
• Work in smaller, experienced engagement teams.
• Provide continuous client exposure and access to engagement partners.
