Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor for an Illinois-based CPA firm role that is onsite. The position offers 100% paid medical and dental for the employee, a strong firm culture, and a competitive compensation package.

Key duties include overseeing audit planning, fieldwork and reporting, conducting engagements from start to finish, assessing compliance, and advising clients on internal accounting controls. Strong communication and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification, or actively pursuing CPA.
• Minimum 3+ years of current public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong client rapport and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees audit planning, field work, and reporting, communicating findings and recommendations.
• Conducts audit and review engagements from start to finish.
• Assess compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial records.
• Consults with clients on internal accounting related transactions as needed.
• Recommends changes to management and accounting operations to improve compliance.
• Provides strategic and tactical accounting advice to clients.
• Reviews work product and performance of entry level staff.
• Assists partners and managers on consulting engagements.
• Builds job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
