Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Supervises tax engagements and special assignments under established firm policies
• Coordinates engagement phases including planning, budgeting, monitoring performance against budget, and reviewing work papers and financial statements for accuracy
• Provides supervision and on the job training to staff, offering guidance and constructive feedback
• Develops and owns the assignment work plan, ensuring tasks are completed
• Manages staff day to day activities including budgeting
• Reviews and manages tax return preparation with an emphasis on high net worth individual and pass through entity taxation
• Builds and maintains client relationships, managing the full engagement process
• Develops tax planning strategies and stays current on tax law and regulatory changes
• Researches tax law and advises on technical tax questions
• Communicates engagement progress, financial information, and business concerns with clients
• Identifies client needs, cross selling opportunities, and new service opportunities
• Supports partners on retention, staffing, and utilization initiatives
• Builds a professional network to support business development and firm marketing

Qualifications

• CPA license
• Minimum experience managing large, complex tax engagements, with a focus on high net worth individual and pass through entity taxation
• Strong background in tax return review, tax research, and staying current on regulatory changes
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff at multiple levels while managing client relationships
