Job summary

Jobot in Illinois is seeking an experienced auditor to oversee audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting for client engagements. You will conduct audits from start to finish, assess compliance, and provide strategic accounting advice to clients.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification, or actively pursuing CPA.
• Minimum 3+ years of current public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong client rapport and project management skills.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and coach new staff while managing multiple projects at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to break down complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Consults with clients on internal accounting related transactions as needed
• Recommends changes to management and accounting operations to improve compliance

• Reviews work product and performance of entry level staff
• Assists partners and managers on consulting engagements
• Builds job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities
