Jobot in Illinois is seeking a qualified auditor to lead audit engagements from planning to reporting, ensuring compliance and delivering client-focused insights.

With 3+ years in public accounting, you will mentor staff, manage multiple projects, and advise on accounting operations to enhance controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or pursuing CPA.
• Minimum 3+ years of current public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong client rapport and project management skills.
• Ability to train and coach staff while managing multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees audit planning, field work, and reporting, communicating findings and recommendations.
• Conducts audit and review engagements from start to finish.
• Assesses compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial records.
• Consults with clients on internal accounting related transactions as needed.
• Recommends changes to management and accounting operations to improve compliance.
• Provides strategic and tactical accounting advice to clients.
• Reviews work product and performance of entry level staff.
• Assists partners and managers on consulting engagements.
• Builds job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
