TREK Development Group is a Pittsburgh-based real estate development firm focused on affordable, sustainable communities. We seek a Lease-up Compliance Specialist to manage resident file compliance during active lease-up for PBRA-assisted and LIHTC/HOME properties.

The role ensures applications, certifications, and files are audit-ready per HUD, PHFA, investor, and Trek standards, with collaboration across leasing and property management teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in affordable housing compliance, preferably active lease-up.
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, PBRA and HUD eligibility.
• Experience with compliance submissions and approvals.
• Familiarity with PHFA audits and investor requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Lease-up experience for newly constructed or rehabilitated properties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct LIHTC/PBRA eligibility interviews in accordance with HUD & PHFA requirements.
• Process applications through a third-party compliance department from intake to approval.
• Prepare and submit initial and final RPC submissions and address deficiencies as needed.
• Provide organized compliance files and documentation to investors.
• Organize and maintain resident files using Trek checklists and internal standards.
• Ensure all files are complete, accurate and audit-ready always.
• Prepare resident files for full PHFA file audits, including internal pre-audit reviews.
• Support audit responses and resolve compliance findings.
• Collaborate with leasing and property management teams during active lease-up.
