Job summary

Travois, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team. You will review tenant income certifications, verify reports, and ensure documentation is prepared and submitted on deadlines across LIHTC projects.

You will collaborate with asset managers, equity investors, and the compliance team to oversee project lease-up and ongoing operations, requiring strong communication and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field required/preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience (LIHTC, occupancy, real estate)
• Nationally recognized LIHTC/Housing certifications preferred
• Certifications to be obtained within four months of employment (HCCP, NAHASDA/LIHTC, HUD HOME)

Responsibilities

• Process tenant files with minimal guidance and corrections.
• Coordinate with client to collect documentation for HFA/investor audit responses.
• Prepare formal written reports after audits with minimal guidance.
• Collect rent and income limit data from HFA/HUD/Novogradac; update related charts.
• Prepare and submit Occupancy Reports to HFA/investor.
• Send monthly recertification reminders to ensure timely recertifications.
