Job summary

Progressive regonal CPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization. Opportunity includes a fast track to Director/Partnership, with a focus on balance between work and life and a hybrid work environment. Relocation assistance is available.

The role oversees multiple audits, coordinates engagement workflows, and leads staff development while maintaining client relationships. Travel and overtime are possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of public accounting experience in the public sector and with state/local governments.
• CPA license (active).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GASB, GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of audits or reviews on multiple engagements.
• Maintain client relationships and service clients throughout the year.
• Leading, training and supervising staff and seniors on engagements.
• Develop staff and contribute to firm business development.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and budgets tracked.
