Job summary

Progressive regonal CPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with State and Local Government specialization to fast-track to Director/Partnership in a role offering reasonable work life balance and a hybrid work environment. Relocation assistance is available.

The Manager serves as the liaison between Partners, clients, and staff, oversees multiple audits, budgets, and staffing, and plays a lead role in staff development and client relations while pursuing business development for the Firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of experience in public accounting with public sector focus (state/local governments).
• Holds a current and valid CPA license.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GASB, GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of audits or reviews on multiple engagements.
• Maintain client contact and understand client operations and control systems.
• Provide supervision and training to staff accountants and seniors.
• Lead staff performance evaluations and participate in business development.
