Job summary

Progressive regonal CPA firm is seeking an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization. This role offers a fast track to Director/Partnership and a reasonable work-life balance within a hybrid work environment. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

The Manager will liaise between the Partner, clients, and staff, managing multiple engagements while guiding staff development and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least five years of public accounting experience in the public sector.
• CPA license currently held.
• Experience leading audit engagements and teams.
• Experience with GASB, GAAS, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit and review engagements from start to finish.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate with Directors/Partners.
• Lead, train, and review staff auditors.
• Assist in budgeting and engagement planning.
• Support business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards.
• Coordinate engagement scheduling and workflow.
