Progressive regonal CPA firm in California is seeking an Audit Manager with a State and Local Government specialization to fast-track toward Director or Partnership. The role offers a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance.

The Manager will liaise between Partners, clients, and staff, overseeing multiple audit and accounting engagements, staffing, and workflow, while developing staff and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Five+ years in public accounting, with government audits experience.
• CPA license required or in-progress; strong GAAP and GASB knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of audits or reviews on multiple engagements.
• Maintain client relationships and supervise staff accountants.
• Coordinate engagement scheduling, budgeting and workflow.
• Develop staff and participate in business development activities.
• Lead engagements in state and local government audits.
