Job summary

Novogradac is a national CPA and consulting firm seeking a Manager to lead audit engagements within the Tax/Audit practice. You will supervise and mentor staff, ensure engagement quality, and expand client relationships while driving office profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 5–8 years in public accounting; CPA preferred.
• Expert understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and professional judgment.
• Accurate, detail oriented with strong time management.
• Strong organizational and follow-through abilities.
• Prioritize heavy workloads and shifting priorities effectively.
• Accept constructive feedback and collaborate with Partners.
• Professional demeanor; gain confidence of Partners.
• Meet internal deadlines; available for evenings, weekends and travel.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements including planning and staffing.
• Oversee engagement completion and identify problem areas with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and supervise staff.
• Perform annual performance evaluations and coaching.
• Assist Principals with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Develop client relationships and promote high value opportunities.
• Represent the Firm at conferences and training events.
• Support firm branding and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Enhance office profitability through effective time management.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
