Career Legal in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Audit Associate to join a growing audit team. Hybrid work arrangement with offices across Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington, offering diverse clients in nonprofit, government, housing, and construction sectors.

The ideal candidate will lead audits, review staff work, and help deliver high-quality financial statements while developing leadership skills under Managers and Partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting/finance.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of public accounting or audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Proficiency with audit software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and attest engagements under supervision.
• Assist in leading audit engagements and meet deadlines.
• Review staff auditors' work and provide guidance.
• Prepare and review financial statements per standards.
• Analyze financial data and assess internal controls.
• Assist with audit planning, risk assessment, and timelines.
• Perform complex audit procedures including testing.
• Maintain strong client relationships and resolve issues.
