Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Manager in Raleigh to lead high-risk, complex internal audits, delivering independent assurance and advisory services. You will coach junior staff, plan engagements, allocate resources, and present findings to stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have 6–8 years in banking/auditing, strong risk management knowledge, and excellent communication and project management skills. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• Six to eight years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility.
• Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate root causes and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager of high risk and more complex audit engagements, planning and scoping tests and resources.
• Set quality expectations and evaluate effectiveness of processes and controls.
• Develop audit reports aligned with risk appetite framework and present to stakeholders.
• Identify substantive issues and propose actionable solutions beyond paperwork.
• Coach and mentor junior team members through training and feedback.
• Provide advisory services in implementation of new systems and processes.
