Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Director of Audit Services in the Raleigh area to coordinate delivery of risk-based internal audit assurance. Lead a team, develop an audit plan, and maintain high-quality work with senior management.

You will build relationships with senior management, review audit reports, and monitor risks across assigned business units within a banking framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business-related field, or equivalent.
• Ten years of progressive audit or risk experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of banking, risk management, and audit practices.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior management.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a comprehensive, dynamic audit program for assigned BUs and supervise activities.
• Directly manage a team of audit professionals and coordinate a dynamic audit plan.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with senior management of assigned BUs.
• Plan, scope and execute audit activities under department policy and methodology.
• Analyze BU systems and controls to determine design and operating effectiveness; assess risks.
• Review and approve audit reports for clarity and relevance.
• Develop risk assessments and monitor monitoring activities to identify risk changes.
• Serve as audit SME and track trends in banking and auditing.
