Distinct | North America in Saddle Brook is seeking an Audit Manager to lead engagements for privately held clients in construction, manufacturing and real estate.

You will develop staff, build strong client relationships with business owners, and ensure high-quality work. A CPA with 8+ years in public accounting and solid construction audit experience is preferred.

I'm working with a CPA firm in Saddle Brook with around 30 people.

People stay. The partners are approachable. And nobody's trying to reinvent accounting with a motivational poster.

They're looking for an Audit Manager to work with privately held businesses, particularly in construction, manufacturing and real estate.

You’ll run engagements, develop staff and build proper relationships with clients. The sort where you’re speaking directly to the business owner rather than sending emails into the abyss.

Here’s what you should know:

• Summer Fridays off. Not half days. Off.
• No fall busy season.
• 40 hour weeks outside busy season.
• Busy season can reach 65 hours at its peak. I’d rather tell you now than surprise you in February.

• A stable client base, experienced colleagues and room to progress.

You’ll ideally be a CPA with 8+ years in public accounting and strong construction audit experience. WIP schedules, job costing and revenue recognition should be familiar territory.
