Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Intern to gain hands-on exposure to the public accounting profession. You will work with multiple supervisors on varied client engagements and apply accounting knowledge using Firm technology.

As an intern you will shadow audit professionals at all levels, participate in team-building and training, and contribute to marketing or research projects. Travel to client sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Junior or senior accounting or related program, within two years of graduation.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a solid foundation for your career.
• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Audit professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings.
