Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team for Summer 2027. The role emphasizes collaboration, learning, and delivering high-quality audits for diverse clients, including Korean-related engagements.

You will use AI, Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy. The position requires enrollment in accounting programs and progression toward CPA eligibility, with a strong academic record and language skills in English and Korean.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university for CPA licensure in principal office state
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Coursework/minor in information systems, software engineering, CS or data analytics preferred

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits for capital markets, ensuring accuracy and integrity; focus on Korean clients or non-Korean companies needing Korea-specific guidance
• Learn to prepare clear audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights
• With guidance, test client controls and financial statement balances using standard methods
• Support high-quality audits through assigned tasks and client engagement team interactions
• Support data-driven audit using AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI
