Job summary

The role requires on-site work at the Valero San Antonio Headquarters, pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and a 40-hour summer schedule with GPA 3.0+ preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Graduation dates December 2027 through May 2029.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the Summer.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) preferred.
• On-site at Valero San Antonio Headquarters is required.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, and Alteryx is a plus.
• Microsoft Office and database experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assurance and advisory projects across the organization.
• Participate in audit planning and risk assessments.
• Identify key business risks and controls within operational processes.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data using analytical tools to support audits.
• Execute audit test procedures and document results clearly.
• Review contracts, invoices, and reports for potential issues or fraud indicators.
• Assist in preparing written audit reports and follow up on recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders with professionalism and accountability.
