Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. The Director acts as liaison among Partners, clients and staff, manages multiple auditing engagements, and leads engagement planning, staffing and workflow.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with at least 2 years in a senior manager role
• CPA license current and valid
• Willingness to travel to client and firm locations
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, special districts, charter schools)
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS and the Uniform Guidance

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Partners, clients and staff; manage multiple engagements
• Lead engagement planning, staffing and scheduling; allocate resources
• Develop and train staff; participate in performance reviews
• Drive new business development and client relationships for the firm
• Lead and supervise engagement teams; review work papers and reports
• Participate in recruitment of staff and candidate interviews
• Represent the firm in profitability, client relations and service delivery
• Oversee billing and collection practices in line with policy
