Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in finance, economics, or business-related field.
• Ten years of progressive audit, risk, or examiner experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking, risk management, and audit practices.
• Leadership, decision making and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication with senior management and stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a comprehensive dynamic audit assurance program for assigned business units.
• Directly manage a team of audit professionals and coordinate the audit plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior management of assigned units.
• Plan, scope and execute audit activities per policies and methodology.
• Analyze systems and controls to ensure design effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve audit reports for clarity and relevance.
• Develop risk assessments and monitor monitoring activities for risk changes.
• Serve as audit subject matter expert and monitor industry trends.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business-related field

Ten years of progressive audit/risk experience

Knowledge of banking, risk management, and audit practices

Professional certification (CIA/IS governance CPA)

Master’s degree in a Business-related field

Graduate school of banking completion
