Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Services Director to lead the delivery of risk-based internal audit assurance for the Audit Committee and executives. You will oversee a dynamic audit plan, guide a team of professionals, and maintain high-quality audit work across business units.

Qualifications include a finance/economics/business degree, 10 years in audit/risk, and professional certifications such as CIA/CISA/CPA. Strong leadership and communication are essential to collaborate with Senior Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business-related field or equivalent.
• Ten years of progressive audit, risk, or examiner experience in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking, risk management, and audit practices.
• Excellent leadership, decision making, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with senior management.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a comprehensive audit assurance program for assigned BUs.
• Directly manage a team of audit professionals and coordinate a dynamic audit plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior management of BUs.
• Plan, scope, and execute audit activities within policy framework.
• Analyze systems and controls to ensure design adequacy and effectiveness.
• Review and approve audit reports for clarity and relevance.
• Develop and monitor risk assessments and monitoring activities.
• Serve as an audit subject matter expert and monitor industry trends.
