Job summary

The New York City Department of Sanitation is seeking an Audit and Compliance Analyst to join the Bureau of Commercial Waste. The role focuses on audits and reviews related to the Commercial Waste Zone program; site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, or related fields; or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
• A combination of education and experience as described in the minimum qualifications; college education may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the auditee's compliance with contract terms, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Participate in surveys and research for audits, reviews or projects.
• Develop and complete plans detailing audit procedures.
• Prepare workpapers reflecting audit activities and findings.
• Collaborate with units to ensure professional operations.
• Assist in corrective action plans and status updates.
