Job summary

BDO USA, PC in Tampa, FL is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice to begin applying your accounting education and organizational skills. You will work closely with seasoned team members, gain hands-on experience, and build professional relationships to advance your career.

The internship offers on-the-job training, exposure to GAAP/GAAS, and opportunities to learn BDO methods and tools while contributing to audit engagements and research projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Able to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Assists in audit processes using BDO methodologies and templates.
• Provides support to the audit staff during engagements and communicates with stakeholders.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas and responds to team members’ viewpoints.
• Completes an accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
