Job summary

BDO USA, PC is seeking an Intern for our Assurance practice. You will begin to apply your accounting coursework and organizational skills to support client engagements and gain hands-on experience within a collaborative team environment.

You will work side-by-side with experienced professionals, receive coaching, and build relationships that enhance your career prospects in assurance and accounting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a master’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• CPA track through school credits is actively pursued.

Responsibilities

• Participates in on-the-job training and learns GAAP and GAAS.
• Assists with the audit process and supports staff on engagements.
• Communicates with clients’ customers, creditors, banks, and related parties.
• Documents work in working papers using firm templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and presents findings.
• Completes an accounting or audit research project and presents results.
• Performs other duties as required.
