Job summary

HTB in Louisiana is seeking an ambitious audit and assurance early-career professional to learn and contribute under the guidance of seniors and managers. You'll assist with workpaper preparation, client documentation, and applying GAAP while growing technical skills.

You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting and have up to two years of related experience; HTB offers mentoring, flexible development opportunities, and a collaborative team environment in Hammond.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0–2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, and accounting procedures, and documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
