Job summary

HTB is seeking an entry-level Audit Associate in Baton Rouge who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting. You will learn and assist audit professionals under supervision, gaining exposure to GAAP and internal controls while leveraging the firm’s technology and research tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, and accounting procedures, and documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
