Job summary

Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP is seeking an entry-level auditor to support the Audit + Assurance team in Baton Rouge, LA. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals on client engagements and develop practical auditing skills.

The role emphasizes GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and learning internal controls while building relationships across industries. This is a growth-focused opportunity in a collaborative firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, and accounting procedures, and documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
