Job summary

Agresta, Storms & O’Leary, PC (ASO) is hiring Audit Associates to join its assurance practice in Indiana. This in‑office role offers hands‑on audit experience across nonprofit, real estate, manufacturing, and construction clients, with mentorship and training to advance.

You will work with seniors and managers, travel to client sites as needed, and pursue CPA licensure to deepen technical expertise in GAAP and auditing standards. This is a growth‑oriented start for early‑career professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1–2+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA eligible with a plan to sit for and pass the exam.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to ask questions.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort learning new software.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures for nonprofit, real estate, manufacturing, and construction clients under supervision.
• Prepare workpapers, test account balances and transactions, and document procedures.
• Gather, organize, and analyze client data, including reconciliations and schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Participate in fieldwork at client sites, including inventory observations and control walkthroughs.
• Identify issues during fieldwork and bring them to the engagement team with documentation.
• Communicate with clients on routine matters with supervision.
• Build proficiency in firm audit software, workpaper standards, and GAAP fundamentals.
• Take ownership of professional development by pursuing CPA licensure.
