Agresta, Storms & O’Leary, PC is a full‑service accounting firm with offices across Indiana. ASO is hiring an Audit Senior Associate to run engagements, lead a small team, and serve as the trusted point of contact for clients across diverse industries.

This in‑office role requires strong GAAP knowledge, initiative, and excellent client communication. You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and contribute to a collaborative, growth‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience with an assurance background.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge across audit, review, and compilation engagements.
• Willingness to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills.
• Prior experience at a firm of meaningful scale and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a broad range of assurance engagements for nonprofit, real estate, manufacturing, and construction clients.
• Prepare and perform detail review of audits, compilations, and review engagements in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Review accounting data and financial statements while managing to engagement budgets and guidelines.
• Identify and research assurance‑related questions, including opportunities to improve workflow efficiency.
• Serve as a primary client contact, maintaining direct communication and building trusted relationships.
• Supervise, train, and mentor 2 to 3 direct reports, including staff and interns.
• Stay current on GAAP, SAS, and GAGAS changes and assess their impact on client engagements.
• Assist team members with client management by gathering assurance information, researching issues, and recommending business and process improvements.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on engagement execution, process improvement, and maintaining the firm’s reputation for technical excellence.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This role is in‑office in one of our 6 locations in the Greater Indianapolis area. The firm’s leadership values a collaborative, in‑person culture while recognizing that top performers benefit from the latitude to manage their schedules around client needs and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license
• Experience with CCH Engagement, or a demonstrated ability to learn new platforms quickly

Compensation & Hours

Compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the value the candidate brings to the practice. The firm offers a competitive base salary, performance‑based bonus structure, employer 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits. Full details will be discussed during the interview process. Expected hours include a 55‑hour work week during busy season and a 40‑hour work week during the offseason.
