Job summary

Weaver is seeking an Audit Associate to join our growing firm. The audit associate will perform audit procedures on engagements and assist with financial statement preparation, working closely with Senior Associates and Managers to resolve issues.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Accounting, CPA candidacy, internship or light public accounting experience, and knowledge of GAAP/GAAS. Weaver offers an inclusive culture, learning opportunities, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA candidate
• Internship or light experience in public accounting
• Basic familiarity with GAAP and GAAS
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (preferred)
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures on engagements and help complete audit engagements.
• Work closely with Senior Associates and Managers to identify and resolve issues.
• Develop effective work paper techniques and assist with financial statement preparation.
• Develop a plan of personal development with your group leader.
• Be a team player, show initiative, and manage multiple assignments of varying sizes and complexity.
