Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking an Audio/Video Technician to join the IT Infrastructure team in Charlotte, NC. You will lead design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of conference room technologies across multiple office locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of corporate A/V installation experience, hands-on expertise with Neat, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, and digital signage, and can read blueprints or CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate equipment procurement, vendor scheduling, timelines, and project execution.
  • Install and configure conference room technologies including displays, video conferencing systems, and digital signage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve A/V issues remotely and onsite to ensure reliable meetings.

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking an Audio/Video Technician to join their growing IT Infrastructure team. This individual will serve as the technical lead for corporate audio/video deployments, supporting the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of conference room technologies across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with enterprise A/V systems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys owning projects from planning through implementation while delivering an exceptional end-user experience.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

  • 3-5+ years of corporate audio/video installation experience, preferably as a lead technician.
  • 3-5+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise video conferencing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Neat, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, Sharp, Samsung, Chief, and ScreenCloud.
  • Experience supporting digital signage platforms and enterprise conference room technologies.
  • Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and floor plans for equipment placement and installation.
  • Experience using Bluebeam or CAD viewers to calculate display placement and viewing distances.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Create technical documentation, installation standards, and operational procedures.
  • Execute proof-of-concept deployments and evaluate emerging A/V technologies.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, facilities teams, and service providers to ensure successful project completion.
