Job summary

Lucid Services Group is seeking an experienced A/V Engineer in Indianapolis to design, install, and support audio-visual systems across the organization, integrating displays, projectors, DSPs, and control systems to deliver reliable conferencing and event capabilities.

You will configure, test, and troubleshoot A/V setups, work with vendors, and develop diagrams and SOPs to ensure scalable, user-friendly solutions for hybrid meetings and enterprise environments.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in A/V engineering, IT/AV support, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of signal flow, audio processing, and video distribution.
  • Experience with A/V hardware such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Shure, Biamp, Logitech, Poly.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VLANs, PoE, IP A/V).
  • Ability to read and create A/V schematics and rack elevations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service orientation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy A/V systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, DSPs, control systems, and video conferencing technologies.
  • Install and maintain A/V hardware, cabling, and related infrastructure.
  • Support hybrid meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet.
  • Troubleshoot A/V issues in conference rooms, event spaces, and on-site/remote environments.
  • Perform diagnostics, firmware updates, and routine system maintenance.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to manage A/V projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop documentation including system diagrams, SOPs, and equipment inventories.
  • Provide on-site event support, including setup and live A/V operation when needed.
  • Ensure all solutions follow best practices for reliability, scalability, and user experience.

Job description

A leading client of ours is seeking a skilled A/V Engineer to design, install, maintain, and support audio-visual systems across their organization. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with modern A/V hardware, conferencing platforms, signal routing, control systems, and troubleshooting in fast‑paced environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support both routine operations and complex project deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of signal flow, audio processing, and video distribution
  • Experience with A/V industry hardware such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Shure, Biamp, Logitech, Poly, etc.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VLANs, PoE, IP audio/video)
  • Ability to read and create A/V schematics and rack elevations
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong communication, customer service orientation, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
  • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification
  • Experience with AVoIP platforms such as Dante, NDI, AVB, or SDVoE
  • Experience supporting large event productions or live technical operations
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, D-Tools, or similar design tools
  • Background in enterprise environments, higher education, or corporate IT
