Job description

Overview

The Audio-Visual Support Technician is a member of the Information Technology Department at Milbank, LLP. The technician reports to the Manager of AV & Telecom.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the AV Support Technician are meeting and event support, including:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support meetings and multimedia activities.
  • Set up conference room technology for scheduled and ad hoc audio and video meetings.
  • Assist meeting participants in using the Firm’s internal collaboration tools, such as Zoom, MS Teams, Cisco Webex, Barco Clickshare, and alike.
  • Help perform system quality checks to promptly correct audio-visual (AV) issues prior to meetings and Firm events.
  • Help troubleshoot, repair, or escalate issues related to our integrated AV systems.
  • Support Firm events by setting up, maintaining, and/or removing AV equipment.

As a member of the Support Services team, the Audio-Visual Support Technician will also collaborate with colleagues on technical support, including:

  • Monitor the call queue from our internal ticketing system (Service Now) and record, track, and close service incidents in a timely manner.
  • Take ownership of technical problems and be proactive in resolving the issue.
  • Assist the team with IT equipment moves to support internal office relocations.
  • Work closely with team colleagues to keep them informed of technical issues, follow-ups, escalations, and resolutions.

The Audio-Visual Support Technician is client-service driven and able to professionally communicate, engage, follow up, and collaborate with IT managers, colleagues, lawyers, and other business services teams.

  • This role is based in New York onsite 5 days a week. Hours are from 3 PM to 11 PM.
  • This role reports to the AV/Telecom Manager.

The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $65,000 to $90,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.
