Ongoing Contract | Onsite 5 Days/Week | Midtown Manhattan
MMD Services is partnering directly with a global, multi-billion dollar investment firm built around world-class talent, cutting-edge technology, and serious growth. They are adding a Senior AV & End User Support Engineer to a small, highly visible technology team in their Midtown Manhattan office. The firm is opening a new floor dedicated entirely to multipurpose events, conference rooms, executive meetings, and interviews, and this hire is a key part of keeping that space running.
This role is 5 days onsite in Manhattan. No third-party candidates, and local applicants only.
What you'll own
- Senior-level support and escalation coverage for AV, conferencing, collaboration, and end user technology issues
- Daily readiness and break/fix across conference rooms, executive meeting spaces, and the events floor
- Live, white-glove AV support for executive meetings, events, interviews, and other high-visibility business functions
- Support and troubleshooting for enterprise Unified Communications endpoints, including Zoom Rooms and Logitech hardware, with working knowledge of Q-SYS
- Troubleshooting across audio and video signal flow, DSPs, microphones, mixer boards, PTZ cameras, video switchers, displays, LED walls, control systems, and AV-over-IP environments
- Diagnosis of network-related AV issues spanning TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, QoS, and general connectivity
- Hands-on end user support: computer imaging, workstation deployments, monitor and peripheral setup, hardware swaps, cable runs, and general desktop troubleshooting
- AV project work, including room builds, upgrades, and equipment refreshes
- Close partnership with AV engineering, end user support, infrastructure teams, vendors, integrators, and MSP resources
What we're looking for
- Strong senior-level enterprise AV support experience, including Tier 3 troubleshooting and escalation
- Hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms and familiarity with Zoom administration
- Working experience in Logitech environments, including Logitech Sync
- Working knowledge of Q-SYS and a solid understanding of AV signal flow and AV-over-IP concepts
- Experience with professional audio, DSPs, cameras, and video switching
- Strong networking fundamentals and the ability to quickly isolate whether an issue is AV, platform, network, or endpoint
- Hands-on end user support experience across computers, monitors, peripherals, imaging, and workstation setup
- Comfort shifting between AV escalations and day-to-day IT support as business needs change
- Experience supporting executive-facing, event-driven, or highly visible corporate environments
- Someone who operates independently, adapts quickly, communicates in a polished way, takes feedback well, and stays humble and open-minded on a small team
- Availability for occasional overtime during busy event weeks and rare weekend decommissions and recommissions
- Microsoft Intune experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Free catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- High visibility with senior leadership and real career progression
- Name recognition that carries weight on a resume
