Job summary

NPR is seeking an Audience Lifecycle Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team building data infrastructure, data warehouse, pipelines, BI, and personalization tools. You will partner with Product, Design, Data, and Editorial to set priorities, architect features, and deliver high-impact software for NPR's audience technologies.

Lead with an inclusive, growth-minded approach, drive Agile delivery, and mentor engineers across the lifecycle from planning to production, while ensuring

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing data engineers in an agile organization.
• Hands-on experience shipping large-scale data applications.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional Agile/Scrum product teams.
• Experience with GCP, AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a software engineering team.
• Own recruitment and onboarding for engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and editorial teams.
• Lead technical planning and Agile ceremonies for projects.
• Conduct design and code reviews to maintain quality and security.
