Job summary

SXSW in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Manager, Audience Growth to lead social strategy across platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You will drive audience growth, build the team, and translate data into scalable content, while maintaining SXSW’s distinctive brand voice and festival-driven storytelling.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in social media with proven YouTube growth, editorial judgment, strong writing, and collaboration across editorial and production teams.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of professional social media experience with strong editorial judgment and writing skills.
• Experience managing social accounts for a magazine, agency, website, or brand.
• Ability to plan, execute, and measure social-first programming.

Responsibilities

• Devise and oversee a social and social video strategy across SXSW platforms.
• Grow and manage SXSW's YouTube channel including analytics and performance.
• Lead the social team including staff and freelance contributors.
• Deliver daily, growth-focused content and maintain brand voice.
• Collaborate with editors to plan original programming and rollout plans.
• Provide weekly reporting on engagement and audience growth.
