Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or Communications (or a related field).
• Content creator background (2–4 years) or social media experience at festivals/publications.
• Expertise in music, film & TV, or tech industries.
• Proficiency with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Portfolio of previous work required.

Responsibilities

• Produce social-first content to grow engagement on SXSW channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn).
• Create social-first video content optimized for each platform.
• Edit and proofread content for brand consistency and grammar.
• Stay current with music, film & TV, and tech trends to leverage conversations.
• Review content calendars to ensure timely production and publication during the event.
• Engage in real-time on-site coverage and behind-the-scenes storytelling.
