Cox Automotive is seeking an organized Title Specialist to ensure accurate processing of vehicle titles. You will verify title information, interact with customers and regulatory agencies, and maintain up-to-date DMV knowledge across states.

The role involves handling title discrepancies, processing reports, and supporting audits. Overtime may be required based on business needs. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with DMV laws and vehicle titles is beneficial.
• Notary seals and stamps are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and re-assign titles for vehicles sold by the auction.
• Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to requirements; verify VIN, odometer, lien releases and that titles are unaltered.
• Determine negotiability of title documents and assess for potential fraud; report discrepancies.
• Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, dealers and regulatory agencies; assist with price adjustments if needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws for titling and interpret regulations across states.
• Run outstanding title reports and contact sellers regarding titles.
• Issue gate passes for no-sale vehicles and purchases.
• Assist with title and check audits.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• May work overtime as business needs dictate.
