Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist II to manage the flow of vehicles through the sales lane, assign drivers, and oversee parking of sold and non-sold vehicles. You will conduct pre-sale meetings, inspect equipment, and respond to dealer inquiries to maintain a smooth auction process.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant driving experience; candidates with knowledge of lot operations or LDM are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for issues like flat tires, low gas, or jump-starts.
• Experience in auction or driving environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct vehicle movement to maintain a continuous flow of traffic to the block.
• Oversee parking of sold vehicles and re-parking of non-sold vehicles.
• Report theft, lot damage, or safety concerns to management.
• Conduct pre-sale meetings with drivers to identify routes and plan changes.
• Inspect support equipment to ensure proper working order.
